Responsibilities and Authorities:
Within the limits of approved board policies, operating guides and procedures, assumes responsibility and has commensurate authority for the following activities.
Install and maintain network servers and clients.
Install and maintain network and computer peripherals.
Install, build and maintain Cooperative software applications and services.
Implement and maintain Cyber Security awareness program.
Review and Maintain logs and logging systems.
Troubleshoot and work user problems and concerns.
Install, maintain, and support user mobile device.
Build and maintain websites and webservices.
Build, install and maintain data systems and databases.
Build, install and maintain backup systems and services.
Create and maintain proper documentation.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Primarily office work environment with occasional requirement to work outdoors, attics, and crawl spaces. Required work will sometimes be dirty and dusty. Infrequent travel for training and meetings may be required. Occasional work outside of normal business hours will be required.
Work requires exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and 20 lbs. more frequently. Lifting and carrying of 10 to 50 lbs. occasionally. Job requires sitting majority of time, with regular stooping, bending and kneeling. Work requires repetitive motions with hands and fingers such as keyboarding and dialing. Must be able to use office equipment such as copier, computer and telephone. Must be able to communicate with individuals and groups of people. Must be able to read, write and do arithmetic. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical/Vocational school degree in Computer Information System or related field or equivalent work experience required. 4-year College/Vocational degree preferred.
Knowledge: Must have practical working knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and peripheral equipment, and cyber security standard practices. Must be able to set up and/or reconfigure Windows network server and clients. Must have the ability to learn mobile device management environments. Ability to learn Linux networking required. Position requires a basic understanding of several programming languages including, but not limited to C#, Python, Java, Bash, Visual Basic, PowerShell, .NET and SQL. Should be familiar with Windows Server desktop and Linux Operating Systems, SAN and virtual environments, Visual Studio, and Office365. Must have ability acquire knowledge of a wide variety of industry specific software and hardware configurations.
Experience: Requires either 3-Years’ experience in CIS or education in related field. Experience in information technology, and computer services and maintenance are highly desirable. Specific experience with Windows network administration, Windows Programing, and Linux networking preferred. Fluency with databases and spreadsheets required. Experience with Active Directory, DNS, VPN/SD-WAN, and Windows File Servers required.
Abilities and Skills: Must be able to collaborate with other IT Administrators and employees to meet the needs of the Association. Must be a problem solver, organized and future oriented. Must be able to communicate system requirements and performance needs to vendors regarding system technical support and enhancements. Must be able to resolve network and computer system problems through research and investigation of logs and documentation both in person and remotely. Must be able to perform training sessions. Must always maintain a valid driver’s license.

Highline Electric Association (HEA) in Holyoke, Colorado is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of IT Administrator in the Engineering Department. This IT Administrator will be stationed in the Holyoke office and report to the Engineering Manager.
All IT duties for the cooperative are currently fulfilled by one IT Administrator stationed in Holyoke. The qualified candidate will have strong communication and coordination skills. This individual will work closely with the existing IT Admin and other employees to meet the overall needs of the Cooperative.
Installation and maintenance of network servers and clients, maintenance of software and services, cybersecurity, computer and technical equipment support, construction and maintenances of databases, documentation, and other technical duties.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Either technical/vocational school degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, OR equivalent work experience is required.
Four-year university/vocational degree is desired but not required.
The hourly rate for this position ranges between $39.34-$45.60 based on qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
