Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Manager.
The Marketing Manager (SPM) is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for their designated department within US marketing. This is a general management role that requires Marketing strategy development and oversight while contributing to and influencing all facets of Marketing within the division including: Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials and Training, People management, Pricing, Business Development, and New Product Development and Introduction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Responsible for developing strategic business plans and product positioning
- Optimizes all marketing materials, including campaign branding, messaging, and channel mix for target customers
- Uses/supports creation of appropriate market research needed to drive the product's overall market positioning and to inform the optimal end-to-end customer experience
- Creates new materials when necessary to address a customer need, extended claim of current product or new product launch
- Identifies and works regularly with internal partners and external resources to deliver product marketing activities
- Accountable for high quality, compliant execution across all marketing platforms and customer segments/specialty areas including market development initiatives for new methodologies
- Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena
- Continuously monitors marketing activity usage, performance, and customer satisfaction to optimize campaigns and drive business outcomes
- Embraces change, embodies a continuous improvement mindset, and exemplifies agile principles in day-to-day activities
- Works autonomously to make decisions and act, in close alignment with the full product value proposition, customer positioning and priorities
- Manages team to achieve organizational goals and maintains a positive, professional work environment and culture
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
- Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years): Business Administration or Finance
- Experience: Minimum 6 years working in Health Care Life sciences.
Preferred:
- MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in Marketing, Engineering, management or sales is preferred.
- Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills. Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.
- Requires strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to understand technical and scientific information.
- Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
- Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
- Minimum 3 years sales management or marketing experience is preferred.
