Position Summary:

The Merage School develops and equips leaders with critical business and leadership skills needed to succeed through programs that are continually adapted to address the ever-changing social, technological and economic opportunities and challenges in our digitally driven world. We offer MBA programs, Specialty Masters programs, MS in Biotechnology Management, MS in Engineering Management, PhD, and undergraduate business degrees that focus on creative and critical thinking skills, strategic decision-making, leadership, innovation, and collaboration through in-class and on-site experiences with real-world business problems. While the Merage School is relatively young, it has quickly grown to consistently rank among the top 5% of all AACSB-accredited programs through exceptional student recruitment, world-class faculty, a strong alumni network and close relationships with both individual business executives and global corporations. We combine the academic strengths and best traditions of the University of California with the cutting-edge, entrepreneurial spirit of Orange County in the heart of Southern California's Tech Coast.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development, the Development Operations Coordinator will oversee administrative responsibility, organization, coordination and management of all matters pertaining to the Development office. Incumbent primarily reports to the Executive Director of Development and, in this capacity, will independently manage and prioritize the flow of information, communications, scheduling, demands on staff time and resources from constituents and stakeholders within and outside the University; in particular, major prospects, donors, visitors, Dean's Advisory Board members, faculty, alumni, corporate and student leaders and the external business community. Incumbent must develop and sustain working relationships with the unit heads and administrative support across the Merage School, Alumni Relations, Advancement, External Relations and the school's Centers of Excellence to facilitate the evolution of the Dean's strategic external relations and development initiatives. May supervise various part-time staff, including student workers.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Special Conditions Required:
Local travel required.
