The Maintenance I position is responsible for maintaining and servicing the mechanical systems on the campus, painting, plumbing and electrical repair, completes work orders, setups, and takedown in rooms for a variety of campus and community events. Also assists with snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment such as HVAC equipment, pumps, steam traps, fans and boilers.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on maintenance and custodial equipment.
Trouble shoot and repair HVAC controls, pneumatic and electronic valves, steam traps, plumbing and boiler systems.
Replace ballasts and perform maintenance on lighting systems
Repairs door hardware including, locks, and door closers
Inspects equipment for proper working condition
Energy Management and Maintenance Support:
Reviews building activities and programs HVAC schedules according to building needs.
Complete work orders as assigned.
Plumbing: repairs to toilets, showers, basins, drains and drinking fountains.
Electrical: repairs and replaces fuses, lightbulbs, switches, and outlets.
Repair of furniture, moving of furniture, boxes, stock, etc.
Provides inventory control for all supplies and materials, related to the department.
Responsible for snow removal and salting, including use of motorized equipment.
Secondary responsibility for lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning.
Repair and painting of walls, ceilings, and trim.
Room set-up and takedowns for events.
Other duties as assigned.
