As a manager, coordinate and administer the Transportation Service Center business processes for system operations consisting of traffic safety and operations, utility coordination and permits, maintenance operations, and the New Buffalo Welcome Center. The manager is to maintain alignment with the other TSC's, SW Region, Lansing, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). This position is responsible for meeting deadlines, meeting MDOT customer needs, resolving complex issues to ensure successful process, project, and program implementation, managing budgets and ensuring continued operations for delivery of MDOT services and products.

The position is also responsible for maintenance work plan development and budgeting. This responsibility includes optimizing TSC efforts for traffic safety, mobility, reliability, and accessibility, as well as participating in the Region business team meetings. This position acts as a supervisor and is responsible to ensure the technical and personal development of employees and their commitment to customer service. Possession of a registered professional engineering license as required by the State of Michigan.

The “Salary” listed in this posting is a range and reflects the minimum rate and the maximum rate.  New employees typically come in at the minimum rate and their pay will increase in increments upon satisfactory performance.
