The Stationary Engineer 1 position provides skilled, journey level support for the operation, maintenance and repair of the campus steam generation system and the ancillary equipment needed for the support of these systems. This includes but is not limited to: the main steam plant high pressure boilers, emergency back-up boiler, boiler, feed water and condensate return pumping systems. This individual reports to the Energy Manager and works as a part of a functional team within Facilities.
Two years of experience operating and maintaining a high-pressure boiler system and auxiliary equipment which shows:
Knowledge of high-pressure steam boiler systems operations
Knowledge of safety practices while operating and maintaining boiler systems and auxiliary equipment
Knowledge of how to perform chemical analysis of water
Valid driver's license
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with building automation control systems; Siemens (Apogee) or Johnson Controls (Metasys)
State of Oregon class III boiler / building service mechanic license.
E.P.A. certification for handling refrigerants
