Theideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community andhave a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. The SeniorAdmissions Counselor will assist in coordinating the admissions process on theFramingham campus, including both general admissions to all degrees andcertificates and also selective admission to specialized programs. Theindividual will perform student admissions, advising, and administrative work.Specifically, the individual will be responsible for managing the admissionsprocess for prospective and admitted Nursing and Phlebotomy students, includingevaluating admissions applications, meeting with applicants, evaluatingtransfer credits, recruiting students, and processing and maintainingdocumentation. The Counselor will be expected to work some evening or weekendhours for recruitment activities, information sessions, and special events, orduring peak times.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in coordinating the college admission process for the Divisions of Health Sciences; Humanities; Social Science and Professional Studies (SSPS); Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); and Transportation and Energy;
- Manage the admissions lifecycle for Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, and Phlebotomy students, including:
-Evaluating applications of prospective students;
-Receiving transcripts from other colleges and evaluating transfer credits: determining which courses/credits can be transferred to students' current program;
-Determining eligibility and acceptance of applicants into selective Nursing and other Health Sciences programs;
-Evaluating readmission applications for Nursing and Health Sciences applicants for program eligibility;
-Presenting qualified candidates to admissions committees directed by Nursing and Health Sciences;
-Promoting MassTransfer program and specialized Health Sciences articulation agreements; - Attend quarterly planning meetings and collaborate with the Academic & Transfer Advising Center to ensure expeditious and accurate Admissions/Advising services to all pre-health students;
- Participate in recruitment activities and provide information on college opportunities, admission policies, and procedures as well as activities such as:
-Providing information to prospects, applicants, and students via telephone, e-mail, website, walk-in visits, or scheduled appointments;
-Working with program coordinators to promote programs and recruit students;
-Organizing information sessions, presentations, and recruitment activities;
-Delivering oral presentations and travel to recruitment sites;
- Collaborating with select local high schools and community-based organizations on admission activities relating to recruitment, testing, and registration of students; - Assist international students with completion of admissions applications/documentation;
- Promote Dual Enrollment/Early Admissions Agreement through recruitment activities;
- Assist in the evaluation of policies and procedures as they pertain to the Office of Admissions;
- Promote services and academic pathways through Corporate Partnerships and Workforce Development;
- Perform administrative tasks associated with department activities;
- Interact with various agencies/individuals;
-Attend meetings and serve on committees, participate in open houses, career panels, and information sessions, communicate with supervisors, employees, other departments, current/prospective students, parents, faculty members, other educational facilities, the public, outside agencies and other individuals to coordinate activities, review the status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems; - May coordinate work of assigned work-study students or other support staff;
- Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas through professional development;
- Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, PublicRelations, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field; withtwo (2) years experience and/or training that includes marketing, publicrelations, college admissions, credit evaluation, and academiccounseling/advisement; or an equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience.

- Experience working with criteria-based Health Sciences and nursing programs;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive;
- Experience with PeopleSoft, or experience with similar student information system;
- Experience with Academic Advising and/or transfer credit evaluations;
- Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills;
- Ideal candidate will be committed to the mission of the community college and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with professional, non-professional, and student personnel.
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license and haveaccess to a reliable motor vehicle in order to visit recruitment sites andconduct other work activities.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $53,590 - $60,679, inaccordance with one's education andexperience as dictated by the collective bargaining agreement classificationcompensation structure.
