This position works as Professional Engineer (PE) or as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) performing independent geological engineering duties for the Radioactive Waste Management Section. The Environmental Engineer 3 completes the final review, approval, and oversight of activities associated with the closure of the commercial low-level radioactive waste disposal facility, a uranium mill facility, and mineral processing facilities.  The Department of Health (DOH), in conjunction with the federal government, must determine that the facilities are closed in a manner that meets all regulatory standards and engineering requirements for the eventual return of those facilities to the federal government or other regulatory agencies as required.  This position will help ens
