Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Institute for a Secure and Sustainable Environment (ISSE) invites applications for one full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position to collaborate with our team to study industrial and building energy efficiency and corporate energy management. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct technical assistance and research related to improved energy management in existing buildings and industrial facilities during their operational phase and will work with the Energy Efficiency Research and Analysis (EERA) Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the U.S. DOE's Better Buildings, Better Plant program. The candidate will also have an opportunity to develop technical assistance for regional manufacturers in the field of smart manufacturing and Internet of Things.

The position is available to start by April 1, 2023. The Postdoctoral researcher will report to Dr. Mingzhou Jin, the ISSE Director. This is a twelve-month appointment, renewable annually for up to two years based on performance and funds availability.
