Facilities Management at ETSU is accepting applications for a Design Manager. This position is responsible for confirming and managing a project scope, budget, and schedule from project inception through project close-out while maintaining the involvement and expectations of the client and stakeholders including but not limited to Space Utilization, Information Technology, Facilities, Energy Management, Environmental Services, and Media Services. The Design Manager serves as the primary liaison between the consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. This position will simultaneously manage multiple projects in various phases. The Design Manager will build and support a culture of communication and develop a collaborative team including client representatives, stakeholders, consultants, vendors, contractors, and other internal and external parties as needed. In addition, they will keep the team informed and involved at every phase of the project and obtain team input on any changes to the program, schedule, or budget. They will coordinate design meetings with all relevant stakeholders and design professionals and ensure all state policies and design guidelines are followed.

Must be able to work any shift or schedule. Facilities employees may be required to report at their regularly scheduled times during emergency closures or during inclement weather to perform essential functions including snow removal duties.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design/Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Four to seven years of experience in the design/construction industry managing or supervising projects.
Experience in project design and construction administration.
