PPPL is seeking to fill a Smartsheet and/or Resource Management expert to support, train, and memorialize best practices for the use of this tool within the PPPL Engineering department.
Please note: This position will be part time (two days per week) and remote.
Responsibilities
Core Duties
Support PPPLâ™s Engineering management team and system admininstrator to implement best practices for Resource Management by Smartsheet (formerly known as 10,000ft).
Answer questions related to Smartsheet or Resource Management (RM) and provide demos to new team members.
Build RM reports as requested; train admin on creating reports.
Train basic understanding of Resource Management by Smartsheet capabilities and functions: People, Placeholders, Roles, Disciplines, Bill Rates, and Locations.
Train managers to assign People to resource demand from Smartsheet project using the Resource Management Integration Panel.
Identify data reporting discrepancies and contact the owning team members to help resolve.
Support and help maintain a successful and efficient resource management function for multi-disciplinary teams.
Support resource meetings with Project Management Team and appropriate department heads; Assist with the plan change control process.
Monitor resourcing activities, tracking changes and identifying potential instances of over/under-utilization and actively collaborating on solutions with the Group Leads.
Work closely with Project Management to review inbound projects and model out staffing needs, including when projects can start.
Support company leadership by synthesizing utilization data and make recommendations on quarterly staffing needs, which serves as an all-up view of the upcoming project landscape.
Work with department leadership to audit, recommend and improve workflows where possible.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
1-2 years experience in a project management or resource management role.
1-2 years experience with Resource Management by Smartsheet, 10K FT, OpenAir, Mavenlink, Float.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2+yrs experience as a Smartsheet Administrator
Detailed knowledge of Smartsheet Suite applications
Deep understanding of Excel.
Detailed knowledge of Resource Management by Smartsheet (formerly known as 10,000ft).
Possess an excellent ability to prioritize tasks, and effectively manage time.
Perform assigned functions independently with minimal supervision from a remote environment.
Self-initiative to identify potential issues and proactively solve; proactively improve current process.
Strong communications skills and be comfortable communicating with internal departments and on occasion external contacts.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Certificates and Licenses:
Smartsheet Core Product, Project Management, or System Administrator Certifications are preferred.
Working Conditions:
Remote work.
Estimated two days of work per week
