Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr Director for Facilities Management Business Operations, this position is responsible for the management of information technology in Facilities Management. Oversees daily operations and/or services and coordinates the activities of assigned staff. Responsible for hardware and software management for various systems within Facilities Management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5-7 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Management, or a related field
Microsoft Windows Server Administrator certification or Azure equivalent
5 years of supervisory experience
4 years of project management experience
7 years of experience with setup and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Servers, Hyper-V, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Databases
7 years of experience providing Windows 7 – 11 technical support
5 years of experience leading projects involving multiple departments
7 years of experience installing, configuring, and repairing computers, printers, and networked equipment in an Active Directory network environment
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AiM – Computerized Maintenance Management System, Building Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, and PL/T-SQL scripting
Troubleshooting methodology with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, promoting teamwork, and collaborating
Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices around security, performance, and availability
Strategic planning and assessment of technology needs
Ability to research and provide option for purchasing equipment and licenses
Implement and ensure adherence to UTD and Texas state policies and procedures
