Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a premier national university in China, widely recognized for its excellence in engineering, management, and interdisciplinary research. The mission of the Department of Human Resources and Organizational Science is to cultivate innovative scholars and practitioners capable of bridging management theories and artificial intelligence applications, addressing real-world organizational challenges, and contributing to China’s economic development. The department envisions becoming an internationally recognized center for human resources, organizational behavior, and strategic management research by 2035, achieving a synthesis of academic excellence and global influence while spearheading the integration of artificial intelligence in management education and practice.

What Do We Offer?

(1) For the faculty positions

• We offer three tiers of competitive compensation packages based on the candidate’s academic potential.
• The annual salaries are stratified into three grades: 600,000-800,000 RMB, 800,000- 1,000,000 RMB and above 1,000,000 RMB.

(2) For postdoctoral researchers

• Overseas Ph.D. returnees will receive an approximate annual package of 600,000 RMB (inclusive of various subsidies) over a three-year period.
• Candidates who cannot reside in the designated postdoctoral apartments are eligible for a monthly housing allowance of 1,500 RMB.
• Postdoctoral researchers demonstrating outstanding achievements may also qualify for national, provincial, and university-level awards and subsidies.

In addition, the University provides further support:

• Preferential tax policies, priority for dual appointments, and access to talent funds. Housing support is available via generous allowances, eligibility for on-campus talent housing or purchase subsidies, and furnished temporary accommodations.
• For team development, new appointees benefit from an independent Ph.D. quota during the initial appointment period, initiatives to support the formation of research teams, and access to world-class research platforms.

The School of Management was established in 1979. At present, it has 7 undergraduate majors, including Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Information Management and Information Systems, Computational Finance, Big Data Management and Application, and Supply Chain Management. It has 2 academic master's degree authorization points in Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration, and 3 professional master's degree authorization points such as Master of Business Administration (MBA/EMBA), Master of Accounting, and Engineering Management. It also has 2 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points in Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration, as well as post-doctoral research stations. The school has strong scientific research strength. The school has successively passed the international certifications of AMBA and AACSB. In October 2024, the school held the EQUIS on-site certification, and passed the AACSB re-certification in 2025, obtaining the highest certification period of six years.
